The Great Tragus Debate

Posted in Uncategorized on December 17, 2008 by electricdreamsx

OK guys.
This post is basically in reply to this post, after I’ve received a couple of comments telling me to stop being so narrow minded when it comes to tragus piercings.
So this is bascially a Tragus Update. Great, isn’t it?
My friend went ahead and got her piercing, and it looks really wierd. I still think sticking metal through body parts is a bit wierd, wherever they are.
But it looks OK. And then she went and dyed her hair white-blonde, so I moved away from her tragus piercing and started poking fun at her dark roots instead! We’re really good friends.

But yeah, and point about that: “She’s some kind of wannabe,” refers to the whole bit where I said that it was “normal for us two,” not for the fact she’s getting a piercing.

So, yes. I am less narrow minded now. Anyway, I’ve got a new thing to complain about. My sister when and got her lip pierced.
Mwahahha.

Yeahh. I’m not going sledging though. That’s far too scary.

Russell Howard

Posted in Finger Lickin' Good with tags , , , on November 30, 2008 by electricdreamsx

Last night, I treated myself to something I don’t usually bother with.

Russell Howard

That’s right: Comedy.
Last night, we headed off to St. George’s Hall in Bradford to see Russell Howard and it was amazing.
Five stars, definitely.

From the actual act (mainly about old women and cornish pasties) to the odd Q&A at the end, it was pure entertainment.

In fact, one of the questions was, “Will you sign my shoe?”
Russell replied, “If you come down to the stage,”
So the audience member threw the shoe down to the stage and started running to get from the dress circle, where he was sat, to the stage as quickly as he could.
Meanwhile, Russell sent his support act out (Steve Hall) and Steve proceeded to put the shoe down his trousers.
What happened next was a magnificent blur, but I will tell you this. When Russell left, his leaving line was:
“Goodbye Bradford, you’ve been amazing. This has been the funnest gig I’ve done in ages, mainly because Steve’s rod fell out,”
No exaggerations.

If it weren’t one of his last dates on the tour, I would definitely contemplated going to see him again. His live DVD is definitely on my Christmas list this year!

Afterwards, he signed some of the merchandise and we took a picture with him and Steve Hall. Everyone’s jealous.

Spyski!

I had the pleasure to go see Spyski on a school trip recently, and even though I’ve never actually seen a proper play in my life, let alone anything comical (I’ve been one of the musical girls, you see, the ones with brochures from “Joseph and His Technicolour Dreamcoat” pinned on their walls) but Spyski was absolutely genius.

From the thick Spanish accents to the amazingly fast changes from one costume to another, I love love loved it. I recommend everyone go see it, except maybe the little’uns ’cause they wouldn’t get it.

I did.
Proud!

It’s Bonfire O’Clock

Listening To: Let’s Make Love and Listen to Death From Above by CSS
Wearing:
Oversized purple jumper, baggy jeans, new haircut!

If any of you guys follow my fashion-based blog, you might have known that I went to a bonfire last night in order to celebrate November 5th.
Of course, any people from the USA may not know what November 5th means to the British, but basically it means that around November 5th every single English person (not even kidding, I do not know of any exceptions) dresses up warm, trudges into a muddy field and watches fireworks go off and dances around bonfires.

I took a few photographs:

Naturally, these are the best ones.

Of course now I’m a teenager it’s completely different to how it was when I was 6, 7, 8, 9 or even 10. Now we wear glowsticks around our wrists, and hang around the dying bonfire long after everybody else left, watching people smoke and drink and just generally getting cold and the bonfire shrinks.

It was fun anyway!

LGFUAD.
Went into Leeds the other day, bought a waist belt (finally) from Blue Rinse. A vintage boutique, how posh am I. Or is that indie. I don’t really know.
It has a butterfly on it and cost me a tenner. Which is better than Topshop, innit.
After that, I bought a MacDonald’s Happy Meal, because I couldn’t afford a full meal, and then I mooched about Topshop, H&M, Urban Outfitters (drewl) and then went home.
Seriously. I love UO. It’s my new favourite shop. Hurahh.

Yes, I’m back, from an odd warm place known as Golden Sands resort, Bulgaria.
We stayed in Hotel Royal, and it truly was “the party hotel”, despite Thomas Cook refering to it as a family holiday, but I loved it!

Today has quite literally been one of the most exhausting days in my entire life. But it’s over now.

Everything’s done, but the weekend’s not over, and Mum’s got an action packed two days planned.
Guh.

Listening To: Fer Sure by The Medic Droid
Wearing: Floral skirt, Primark, white vest top, Marks&Spencers, green jumper, Primark, thick tights, Asda, plimsolls, Topshop.

Went to the National Media Museum in Bradford on a school trip today. Was the most fun I’ve had in ages.
We were recording a game show from our own ideas and the studios was ridiculously hot. I’m certainly not going to bother wearing a jumper tomorrow, thank you very much.
I looked really, really pale. It made me laugh seeing all my school friends operating the cameras and the autocues. £100,000 each. Phewph.
Anyway, yeah, took lots of photographs!!! About 93 in total, but here are my top twelve. Or however many there are there!

So yeah. Check it out. How cool are we?
Not many of myself, though. Whatever will you do?

Like I said, it was insanely warm in the TV studio, but also quite cool. There were buzzers and scoreboards and a big blue screen, and fantastic fancy cameras! I’ve just got to remember to sit up straight, look at the camera and be myself. Also, maybe take some straighteners and make-up with me. I looked an absolute mess.

Comments please!
